Manitoulin Roots is a genealogical database dedicated to the memory of those people who came to and settled on Manitoulin Island. Many thanks to those who have assisted in the past and continue to assist in the present. This database continues to be a work in progress. You will need to create a FREE account to access the database. Accounts need to be created in order to secure data. Entering a name in the search bar will take you to the login or register an account page. Follow prompts to set up your account, username and password. You will have IMMEDIATE access once registration is done. You will NOT receive a confirmation email. You will need to login each time you access Manitoulin Roots in the future.

How to use Manitoulin Roots Database area of this website:
To search by name use search box located on dark blue tool bar at top of this page. When on an individual's page there is an option to send corrections by clicking on the Suggest tab on beige tool.
Other searches available by clicking on Find on beige tool bar near top of this page. On the drop down menu you can choose to search on Surnames, First Names, People, Families, Site, Places, Dates and Calendar. Media on beige tool bar presently is empty but may be a project in the future.
