      Mrs. E.M. Bradley
Dies in Toronto Hospital (handwritten 1908)
Little Current was deeply moved when word came over the wires on Thursday last that Mrs. E.M. Bradley had died in the General Hospital that morning. Mrs. Bradley has been ailing with Rheumatism for some time. Last Fall she spent some time at the Mineral springs in Michigan. About three weeks previous to her death Mr. and Mrs. Bradley left here to go to Preston springs, but remained over to consult a specialist in Toronto. He said she had better enter the hospital there which was done.
Early last week Mr. Bradley came home as Mrs. Bradley was making good recovery. Only the night before her death her little boy had a letter saying she would soon be well and home, but God's way are not our ways. Heart failure set in and after three hours suffering she departed.
The body was brought home Saturday and the funeral took place on Sunday afternoon. Despite the sever storm many came from the surrounding country as far as Manitowaning to pay their last respects. The service was conducted by Rev. E. Baker.
Handsome wreaths lay on the coffin sent by Mr. Bradley's brother; Masons with masonic emblem; Howard Bros of Toronto; Mrs. Riordan and daughter of Toronto; Help and Guests of the Mansion House and by Mrs. Wm. Patterson.
Mrs. Bradley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Riordan and was born in Oshawa 39 years ago. Beside her bereaved husband and two sons Ed' and cliff aged 12 and 14, she leaves to monrn (sic) her early loss an aged mother and five brothers, Ed. and Gus, in town, D.J. Riordin, Brinley Mich. John and Frank Phoenix B.C. and four sisters, Mrs. Leith and Mrs. Sanderson of Thessalon Mrs. Hill Collingwood, and Mrs. A. Bradley of Sheguiandah.
Mrs. Bradley came when ten years of age to the Island with her family and in 1891 was maried (sic) to E.M. Bradley in the Baptist church at the Soo and has resided since in Little Current.
Bright and cheerful always, she was never happier than when spending her self for the comfort or pleasure of others. Forgetting herself the (sic) lived only for those she loved.
The whole community joins in sympathy to those who are bereaved; and pray that the Father of all comfort may sustain them in this their hour of trial.
