      Information Booth Attendant Hired (June 1971)
      Tourists have already begun to pour into the Manitoulin and boats and trailers are becoming a fairly common sight. Even ice covering the water in early spring didn't seem to deter the boaters who here as early as April from many of the urban centres surrounding the area.
      The Western Manitoulin Board of Trade is preparing for the influx of questions and inquiries with regard to accemmodations (sic) and things to see and has made a decisions to move their information booth to a more convenient ocations for the travelling public.
      Everything is ready for the move of the booth to the corner of the Stuart Wright property opposite the O.P.P. detachment headquarters. Tourists travelling Hwy. 540 can then directly approach the booth from the highway.
      The Board of Trade wish to announce that Miss Sandra Burns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Burns of Gore Bay, has been hired as attendant for the summer.
      Tourist operators belonging to the Board of Trade are urged to place their brochures in the booth and provide the attendant with up-to-date information as to vacancies in their camps.

      Wright, Stuart, age 53, died in Sudbury Hospital Wednesday, March 30, 1983. Dear father of Richard, Roger, Brother of Margaret (Mrs. Frank Johnson), Jack, Tom of Gore Bay; Ethel (Mrs. Vern Bryant) Tehkummah; Doris (Mrs. Ernie Urso), Fred, of Sudbury, and twin brother Norman of Thunder Bay. Predeceased by sister Thelma (Mrs. Bob Clark).
      Memorial Service held Saturday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Chris McKibbon officiating, followed by cremation.
