      Mrs. Maude Lovelace
A citizen of Silver Water for many years, Mrs. Maude Lovelace died in St. Joseph's Hospital, Little Current, on February 8th, 1946, after an illness of several months.
The late Mrs. Lovelace was born on St. Joseph Island, sixty-one years ago. After her marriage to Nathan Franklin Lovelace, they settled in Meldrum Bay, Manitoulin Island. Several years later they moved to Silver Water where they have resided ever since.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, five sons, Keith of Little Current, Edgar of Toronto, Norris of Sault Ste. Marie, Roy of Niagara Falls, Elmer in the army, overseas; two daughters, Dora, Mrs. W.L. Priddle of Detroit; Vivian at home, also five grandchildren.
The funeral took place on Monday, February 11th, 1946, from the Holy Trinity Church, Little Current. Interment was made in Mountain View cemetery, the Rev. Canon R. Haines officiating. The pallbearers were: Messrs. E. Ferguson, William Armstrong, A. Kitchen, H. Ebel, J. Allan and George Emery.
There is no time that we could set
For parting. We who must remain
Are never ready for such pain,
Even our prayer would be: "Not yet!"
      Not yet, dear God-another day
With us let our loved one stay."
We must believe, when the blow
That wisely, God has willed it so.

Tombstone, Mountain View Cemetery, Manitoulin Island
