      Obituary
      Mrs. James Allan
Deep sorrow was cast over the community on Tuesday, Sept. 25th when Mrs. Jas. Allan (nee Lydia Berry) passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Berry, Kagawong.
The deceased, who was a young woman in her 23rd year, was born in Kagawong, where she lived until her marriage to Mr. J. Allan of Barrie Island on April 29th, 1926, and since then resided in that community where she had made a host of friends.
The late Mrs. Allan had suffered from heart trouble for the past two years and to this she finally succumbed.
She leaves to mourn, her husband and small son, Gordon, aged 18 months; her parents, one sister, Mrs. O. Spry of Rockville; and three brothers, namely, Oliver Jr., Enos and Cletus.
The funeral service which was largely attended, was conducted from the home of her parents by Rev. E. Sykes. The remains were laid to rest in the Kagawong cemetery.
Lydia was much loved by all and deep sympathy goes to those who mourn.

The Recorder, Gore Bay, October 11, 1928
