      Howard-Darwin of Espanola died at the Espanola General Hospital June 13 1998 in his 67th year. In his early years Darwin played Junior baseball for Copper Cliff Redmen. He played hockey for Falconbridge Flyers and was known as the Two Fisted Falcon. After turning down a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1951, he brought his wife and baby daughter to Espanola to work for the K.V.P. Company and played hockey for the K. Vee's When he retired form Hockey he refereed Jr. "A" hockey. He was Greens Keeper at the Espanol Golf & Country Club for several years. He played baseball for the McKerrow Hotel and blooperbal with Gouge's Stooges. He served as president of the Espanola Gold Course and won the Club Championship twice. Darwin retired from E.b. Eddy Forest Products in 1991 after 40 years service. He will be sadly missed by his best friend and wife Leone and family. Dear son of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Howard. Beloved husband of Leone at home. loving father of Judy (Mrs. Wm. Humphreys) Patty (Mrs. Jim Piche) Keitha (Mrs. Peter Kozachanko), Sandy (Mrs. Dan Sedor), Timothy (wife Erika), Dawrin Jr. (friend Lana Boyuk) all fo Espanola. Also Darla (Mrs. Howard Hennessey) of Elliot Lake, James (wife Terry-Anne) of Sudbury, Peggy Telfer of Calgary & Lori (Mrs. J. P. Coulombe) of Kamploops, B.C. predeceased by Kenneth (wife Judy). Will be sadly missed by 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Elwyn (wife Rita) of Chelmsford, Minnetta Dahlvick and Margaret Fiorotto both of Garson. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral service June 15, 1998 in the United Church of Espanola. The Reverend Kim Gilliland officiating. interment Espanola Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial Tributes may be made to the Espanola united Church roof fund.
