      Doris Haines
      June 10, 1923-June 12, 1998
      Doris Haines, a resident of Kagawong died at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 12, 1998 at the age of 75 years. She was born at Roach's Point, daughter of the late Edward Arthur and Lily (Hyde) Blain. Doris was very active in her community, helping at many events that took place. She was also strong and active supporter of the Association for Community Living, a past member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed knitting, gardening, flowers and photography. Doris was a kind, thoughtful person whose greatest love was her family, and many memories will be cherished forever.
      Dearly beloved wife of Harry Haines. Loving and caring mother and mother-in-law of Carol and Stan Pierce of Little Current, Cliff and Jennette Haines of London; Ken and Cathryn Haines of Windsor; Diane and Fred White of Meldrum Bay; Arthur Haines of Mindemoya; Doug Haines of Kagawong; Katherine and Sean Tipper of Mindemoya; and Kathy Haines of Gore Bay. Proud grandmother of Andrea, Collin, Travis, Adam, Aaron, Melissa, Jeremiah, Caleb, Terri-Lynn, Kevin, Dayne and Alexa. Dear sister of Ken Blain of Comox, British Columbia. Predeceased by grandchildren Lynette and Timothy; and sisters Anne Blain and Gladys Genge and brother Arthur.
      Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay after 7 pm on Tuesday. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 15, 1998 at 11 am with Reverend Bruce Tombs officiating. Interment in Kagawong Cedars Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Association for Community Living or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
